COVID-19 – what happens next

It’s been well over a year of dealing with Covid-19 in New Zealand. From the very beginning, Downer has tried to stay one step ahead of Covid’s potential to impact our organisation, ensuring our people remain safe.

We all want to return to a life without restrictions. As a Leadership Team, we have spent a significant amount of time developing a proposal that will help take us to a position where we can conduct our business safely and successfully.

VAXn8

Our Downer online portal, VAXn8, has been developed to keep a record of the COVID-19 vaccination status of our people, securely and ensuring your privacy is protected.

While it is essential for those employees working where Government mandates apply upload their records, we are asking for everyone to start uploading their records into VAXn8. This is an important way for us to be able to continue to manage our business safely, keep the business going through outbreaks, and fulfill our obligations to our customers.

Before uploading your vaccination status, don't forget to:

• Get your digital vaccination certificate also known as 'Vaccine Pass' from My Covid Record website. Check this link or 'how to guide' for more details.
• Familiarise yourself with your employee number. Information on how to access this can be found in the VAXn8 Guide.
