Downer provides outage, maintenance and operational services for solar, hydro and wind farms around the country, with a generating capacity of more than 4 gigawatts (GW).

Our capability includes operations and maintenance, Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) reporting, SCADA control, complete mechanical and electrical services, and capital works programs.

We currently operate and maintain four solar farms around the country including Numurkah, Ross River, Clare and Sunshine Coast, with a generating capacity of 365MW.

Since 2003 Downer has designed and constructed 14 wind farms, which we continue to support with electrical and general maintenance services. These wind farms provide the National Energy Market (NEM) with around 3GW of installed capacity.

Downer has the capability to supply, install, operate and maintain Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) of all sizes across Australia and New Zealand.

For the past 20 years, Downer has completed multiple hydro maintenance services and outages at the CleanCo-owned 500MW capacity Wivenhoe Power Station.

Downer also provides integrated solutions for a range of renewable assets in the wind, solar and power systems storage sectors.
