The Queensland Train Manufacturing Program will support South East Queensland’s population and economic growth, as well as Cross River Rail and the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
In June 2023, Downer was awarded the contract to deliver QTMP.

Located at 229 Adelaide Street, Maryborough, Queensland, the Project Information Centre is open between 10am and 2pm Monday to Friday, and 9am to 12pm on the first Saturday of each month.
The project information centre is an immersive experience where you can learn about our rail history in Maryborough, what the QTMP is all about, and the train design. There is also a dedicated area for kids with interactive activities, and our very own Build the Train game.

Downer is the leading provider of rollingstock asset management services, with more than 100 years’ experience delivering rail solutions for our customers across Australia.
Downer has successfully delivered a total of 119 Waratah trains for the New South Wales Government across Series 1 and Series 2 trains, and 70 new High Capacity Metro Trains for the Victorian Government.
Downer is proud to be part of QTMP, changing the way people travel around South East Queensland, as well as maintaining and enhancing local rollingstock manufacturing capability in the state.
