A Career Pathway Journey Case Study – Customer Service Manager, Sandy Kaiwai

“I began my journey with spotless in March 2012. I was employed as a part time cleaner working at the Eastern Institute of Technology. In time I moved on to clean other sites such as Kaiti primary school which led to full time employment and within a few months I was offered the night supervisor position. In the first year of my employment with Spotless I was offered the branch supervisor position and in 2015 I was promoted to Customer services Manager.

In the beginning of 2017 I was again Promoted to Operations manager and my region was extended to include Hawkes bay. My region now extends from Ruatoria east coast down to Waipukurau Hawkes Bay.

I completed the Inspiring Leaders Programme Level 2 and achieved a NZ certificate in Business (First Line Management) Level 4. Without the support and encouragement from management throughout the years, I wouldn’t be where I am today. My future goals are to help and teach my team to achieve and grow. Providing the training and resources they need so that they can aspire to be leaders. My key mantra is don’t be busy, be productive.”
